    Credenza in hallway

The Italian Carved furniture in these pictures won the Paris Exposition in 1898. There are 12 chairs, each with a cherub's face carved on the back and the cherubs age with each chair, first very young and finally very old The hand carved bench is a Mexican antique from Puebla, and the stained glass window was designed and made by Chris McCasland and Lester Thorne of Galveston, Texas. The emu painting was purchased from Sotheby's in New York and is 5 feet across.
